Bantry Blues’ defender Mairéad Dullea, living in Bandon, is a Science and Maths teacher in Kinsale Community School who hopes the numbers add up to a Bantry All-Ireland final win on December 5th.

Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 on how funny you are? Those who know me best would say I have a dry sense of humour, so I’ll give myself a 4.

Highlight of your sporting career? Beating Steelstown (Ulster champions) on our home pitch last Sunday to go through to the All-Ireland decider.

Most dialled number on your phone? A toss-up between my sister and Ms A O’Mahony.

What’s your karaoke song? If in Malta, The Rose of Tralee.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I won my first football medal (Sciath na Scol) in sixth class and it took over 20 years for me to win my second – never give up!

Best-ever holiday? New York, 2007, with my parents and sister.

If you won the lotto what would you buy first? An Audi A4 and a dozen new footballs.

Separated at birth, who’s your celebrity twin double? Seemingly Nora Batty… I’ve never owned a set of rollers though.

What’s your favourite word? Steps!

If you could change any part of you what would it be? I wouldn’t mind being a little taller, then I could compete (fairly) against Myra and Séadna at training.

Your most treasured item of clothing? My St Colum’s shorts, they always stir things up at training.

Favourite cartoon? Shaun the Sheep – it’s currently the favourite of my nephew Edward.

If I was an animal then I would be a ... mouse. I’m rather quiet and I even have a pair of clogs!

What question would you liked to have been asked in this interview? When is Santa arriving in Bantry this year? Fingers crossed, December 5th with the All-Ireland cup.
