In a West Cork Minute

Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 on how funny you are? I would give myself a seven. I doubt many would agree with me on that though as I’m often the only one laughing at my jokes.

Highlight of your sporting career? Winning a Sigerson medal with UCC in 2014, winning three Munster U21 championship medals with Cork in 2012, ’13, and ’14, along with winning a West Cork junior football medal in 2012.

Most dialled number on your phone? That’s easy, my father Gene. I’m always looking for something.

What’s your karaoke song? It’s safe to say singing is not one of my strong points, so I generally try to stay away from karaoke.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I’m pretty sure my parents were hoping I would be a girl at birth. Sorry to disappoint, mom!

Best-ever holiday? A trip to Australia in 2006 with my family.

If you won the lotto what would you buy first? A one-way ticket to Las Vegas.

Separated at birth, who’s your celebrity twin double? It definitely would have to be Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

What’s your favourite word? Ah Julie (my poor mother).

If you could change any part of you what would it be? I would change the O’Driscoll hairline. Enough said!

Your most treasured item of clothing? I’ll have to state the obvious and say my football boots.

Favourite cartoon? The Lion King. You can’t go far wrong with that.

If I was an animal then I would be a … a gorilla. I don’t know why.

What question would you liked to have been asked in this interview? Who’s the alpha male in the O’Driscoll household? Obviously, it’s me! I’m sure that will be up for debate when the lads read this though.
