RONAN Hurley looks at home on the big stage.
The Schull teenager made his league debut for Cork City when he started in the 0-0 draw against Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
While it was the night that City relinquished their Premier Division title and their reign as champions came to an end, a positive was the assured performance of the West Cork defender.
Hurley has previously played in both the EA Sports Cup and the FAI Cup, but this was his first start in the league.
The former Bunratty United defender won the Cork City U19 Player of the Year Award last season and is another in a number of West Cork Schoolboys League products to make an impact at the top level, following the likes of Connor Ellis with Limerick FC and Denzil Fernandez with Cobh Ramblers.
