BANTRY Blues’ football star Emma Spillane picked up her second consecutive TG4 All-Star Award on Saturday night.

The Cork defender was one of four Rebels named on the 2018 TG4 All-Star team that was revealed on Saturday at the annual awards banquet at the Citywest Hotel.

Spillane won her first All-Star last year in her first season with the Cork seniors and she was one of Ephie Fitzgerald’s team’s top performers again this season. She is one of only three survivors from the 2017 All-Star selection while Cork team-mates Ciara O’Sullivan, Doireann O’Sullivan and Róisín Phelan all collected All-Stars as well.

Spillane received an award at right corner back in 2017 but this time she earns the left-half-back slot.

All-Ireland senior champions Dublin have seven representatives on the 2018 TG4 All-Star team.
