Strong West Cork influence on county team for season opener

DON O’Driscoll of Clann na nGael is in line to make his senior debut for Cork, having been named as a substitute for tomorrow night’s McGrath Cup opener against Tipperary in Dr Morris Park (7.30pm).
The Drimoleague native impressed for Cork U21s last year. Two other members of that team, John Mullins and Cian Dorgan, will start while Kieran Histon is a sub.
Kevin Davis of O’Donovan Rossa is also a sub and his clubmate Ryan Price starts in goal with the returning Ken O’Halloran on the bench. Ruairí Deane partners Ian Maguire at midfield while Kevin O’Driscoll is at wing-forward and his brother Brian is a sub.
