There were celebrations in Annie Mays in Skibbereen after their men's darts team took the senior league final in West Cork.

THERE were celebrations in Annie Mays in Skibbereen after their men’s darts team took the senior league final in West Cork.

In the semi-finals, Annie Mays beat the Boston Bar 4-1. The latter had topped the league with some great results all season. 

The Arch Bar beat O’Callaghans 4-3 in the other semi-final in an absolute nail-biting contest. 

In the final, Annie Mays won on an extremely tight score of 4-3 with some brilliant darts thrown in standout games from both sides. 

There was success too for Annie Mays novice team who won the West Cork Darts Novice League held in the Corner Bar in Skibbereen on Thursday. 

Also, the Galley Ladies team has been in top form in recent weeks as they won both the Ladies League and Ladies Cup. 

The Galley team consists of captain Sharon Kirby, Aoife Collins, Mary Nugent, Breda Harrington, Christina Collins, Siobhan Keohane and Kelli McCarthy.

This Thursday, 21st, the semi-finals and finals of the Novice Shield will take place in the Gaelic Bar in Drinagh. The line-up is: Kearneys Well v Arch Bar, Bantry Inn v McCarthys.
