CONSTRUCTION is underway on six social housing units in Dripsey in what is a €1.1m development.

Cork county mayor Cllr Christopher O’Sullivan signed the contracts with Brendan Woods Construction Ltd. for the units in Radharc na Croise, Model Village.

The development comprises a mix of two and three bedroom houses.

This in-house development has moved from detailed design to construction led by a multidisciplinary team from Cork County Council’s architects and housing departments.

They have been joined by DOSA Consulting Engineers, John Kelleher & Associates and Deasy Walley Partnership.

Mayor O’Sullivan said: ‘I look forward to the completion of work on these homes and the continued delivery of housing to the people of Cork County.

‘These high quality houses will make a positive difference to their residents, strengthening the community of Dripsey and the surrounding areas,’ the mayor added.
