Rain, wind and snow warning for Cork from 6pm tonight

Weather warning from 6pm-6am

CORK County Council has just issued the following weather warning for tonight.

The details from Met Eireann say that, from 6pm today, a spell of wet and windy weather, with thundery downpours, will sweep eastwards over the country during the evening and night.

Gusts of between 90 and 110kmh will occur in Atlantic, southern and later eastern coastal fringes for a time.

Some accumulations of snow are possible during the period also.

This warning is valid until 6am tomorrow.
