Friday, October 31st is going to be a monster spooky night in Skibbereen, with Skibb O’ Ween promising a night of spookiness, a Halloween parade, fancy dress, Beat on the street, live music, and prizes on offer for best child and adult costume winners. Registration for the Halloween Costume Competition is at 6.30pm at The Bridge, where the parade kicks off at 7pm, led by The Grim Reaper. 

He will guide the Witch’s Cauldrom up Main Street towards the Halloween stage.DJ Scary will then get the party going with monster tunes followed by ‘Egg and Spooky races’ for all ages, and prizes on offer for the winners. 

The Scary Witch will be inviting everyone to join in  the Monster Céilí on the Street  at about 7.30pm, with scary Irish dance, jiving, country line dancing and much more.  

DJ Scary will keep the street hopping, with the Witch’s Goblet Challenge taking place for ghouls and goblins. There’s plenty to eat and drink from the food outlets in town too.

Have your photo taken at the ‘Skibb O’ Ween Photo Booth’, alongside many of the creatures and characters prowling the street. The evening closes with the Little Creatures bringing their eerie rock n’roll tunes to the street. See you there!
