ALL dairy farmers and dairy industry stakeholders have been invited to Moorepark ’17, the Teagasc national dairy event for 2017, on Tuesday next, July 4th, at the Teagasc, Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre in Moorepark, Fermoy.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Resilient Technologies’. By resilient technologies, they mean those technologies which will allow dairy farmers, and indeed the entire dairy industry, to flourish in both the good times and the more challenging times.
Resilient dairy farming businesses that adopt the recommended technologies will be technically and financially efficient, generate surplus cash, consistently achieve financial expectations and are simple to operate. Moorepark ’17 will highlight the various resilient technologies now available to Irish dairy farmers.
This is an ideal opportunity to see, at first-hand, the results of the comprehensive research programme at Moorepark and to meet Teagasc research, advisory and education staff. A spokesperson acknowledged the financial support they receive for theirr research programme from State grants and dairy levy research funds.
