THE Bandon Flood Early Warning System has issued an Orange flood alert which means there is a risk of serious flooding.

Water levels are currently at 1.84m and if it reaches 2.5m then there is a serious risk of flooding. If water levels reach 3.5m then there is a severe risk of flooding.

Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours across the county has seen some roads flooded and the Dunmanway to Macroom road is currently impassable.
