BOTH Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are undergoing separate investigations into the death of a 28-year-old man at a farm in Macroom on Wednesday afternoon.
It is believed the deceased had been up on a shed at his family farm at Inchisine at Toames, outside Macroom, making a video of silage cutting, when the roof collapsed beneath him at around 3pm. The man fell onto a concrete floor but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The dean man’s remains were then removed to CUH.
Gardaí in Macroom have begun an investigation and are to prepare a file for an inquest at the coroner’s court.
