THIS Saturday morning (Jan 31) the West Cork Association of Community First Responders will be launched by Steve Redmond, World Champion Open Water Sea Swimmer in Skibbereen and Clonakilty.
The group will be doing a ‘flash mob-style’ training session in Field’s SuperValu in Skibbereen at 10am and in Scally’s SuperValu in Clonakilty at 11.30am.
The association is looking for 200 people to volunteer in the Skibbereen and Clonakilty areas (100 in each area) to train up as community first responders. The training dates are Saturday February 28(Clonakilty) and Saturday March 14 (Skibbereen), the cost is €10 per participant.
