THE Castletownbere Coast Guard team was tasked by Valentia MRSC late on Friday night for the following morning.
A Spanish trawler had a deceased crewmember on board and was expected to dock at Dinish Island early on Saturday.
As per request, the crew assembled at 8am yesterday and transferred the casualty from the fishing vessel to the waiting hearse.
The Coast Guard has extended its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased crewmember and crewmates.
