The programme identifies and supports exceptional women entrepreneurs leading established, high-growth businesses ready to scale internationally.
Selected participants gain access to mentorship and EY’s global network of business leaders, investors, and advisors. Founded in 2016, MaxPhysio & Pilates has grown from a single clinic in Clonakilty to five locations across county Cork, with further expansion planned for 2026.
Lowry draws on nearly two decades of experience in healthcare and recognised a clear need for functional, science-based reformer teacher training that would serve both injured clients and athletes alike.
Her insight led to the creation of Maxsona, her second business venture, which delivers reformer instructor training programmes grounded in anatomical precision and accessibility.
Lowry has also designed and developed her own line of reformer Pilates machines, addressing a major gap in the market for equipment that is both functional and inclusive, suitable for rehabilitation settings as well as performance-focused studios.
‘It’s an incredible honour to be recognised by EY among such inspiring entrepreneurs,’ she said.
‘This programme will not only support my vision to grow our clinics and education offering, but also help amplify the message that movement is medicine, and the message of accessibility and inclusivity in healthcare.’
