Ed O’Neill: house hunting in West Cork.

MODERN Family star Ed O’Neill is house-hunting in West Cork.

The actor was attending the Global Green Party in LA when he mentioned having recently spent 12-days touring Ireland.

He said: ‘We’re looking at a house outside of Cork by Skibbereen (that has) amazing ocean views.’ During his recent visit, he also mentioned how much he liked visiting Kerry, and name-checked Michael Healy Rae.

He was even up on the TD’s view on relaxing the drink-driving limit and did a first-rate impersonation of the Kerry politician and businessman.

Ed O’Neill became famous as Al Bundy in Married with Children but his latest role in the hugely popular Modern Family TV series means he is a household name all over again.

The actor said he would consider moving to Ireland when he retires, but at age 70, there isn’t any sign of him doing that just yet. He is married to fellow actor Catherine Rusoff.
