CARBERY Rangers reignited their Division 1 final push with a convincing 4-10 to 0-12 victory over local rivals Castlehaven.
Ross were 13 points clear at half time against a Castlehaven side missing several key players.
Cork U20 Dylan O’Neill was the star of the show with 1-2 from play while other goals came courtesy of Paul Hodnett, Darragh Hayes (1-1 each) and Padraig Tobin.

John O’Brien (two-pointer), Paul Shanahan (45), Mark Hodnett, Jack O’Regan and Colm Hayes also chipped in for Robbie Ahern’s team. Seanie Cahalane’s Haven only had two scorers in Micheal Maguire (0-9) and Jamie O’Driscoll (0-3).
Ross, Castlehaven, Clonakilty and Knocknagree remain locked together at the top of Division 1 after Knocknagree’s 0-16 to 0-11 win over Cill na Martra.
Newcestown’s hopes of reaching the final faded after a narrow 0-15 to 1-11 defeat to Éire Óg. Jack Meade (1-3), Luke Meade, Tadhg Twomey, Humphrey Canty (0-2 each), Eddie Kenneally and Niall Murray were on target for the West Cork club while Daniel Goulding rolled back the years for the Muskerry club with 0-5.
The relegation battle remains wide open after Douglas edged St Finbarr’s 2-11 to 2-9, leaving just one point separating Douglas, the Barrs, Nemo Rangers, Éire Óg and Cill na Martra.

Carbery Rangers’ seconds and St James secured promotion and a place in the Division 7 final. Both West Cork sides are on 13 points and cannot be caught. Rangers’ 6-6 to 1-10 defeat to Inniscarra proved insignificant while St James sealed promotion in style against Mayfield, 4-7 to 1-9.
Dohenys’ chances of a top two place in Division 2 appear slim following a 4-16 to 2-18 defeat to Uibh Laoire. The Muskerry club will play in Division 1 in 2027 as Cathal Vaughan struck 0-11 while Ian Jones (three) and Seán Riordan contributed to the goals.
O’Donovan Rossa and Castletownbere remain in relegation trouble. The Skibb club fell to Ballincollig, 0-18 to 1-9. Demotion rivals Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh and St Michael’s also lost to Carrigaline and Clyda Rovers respectively.

Bandon find themselves in seventh place in Division 3, falling narrowly to Bishopstown by 0-21 to 0-20. Two points separate the Lilywhites, Newmarket, Fermoy and Rockchapel at the bottom, Newmarket also suffered defeat to Kanturk. Aghabullogue sit in second after a draw against Kilshannig while Mallow beat Naomh Aban.
Adrigole’s promotion hopes suffered a setback with a 3-14 to 2-8 defeat by Boherbue. Gabriel Rangers fell to already relegated Aghada, 1-17 to 0-12. That result means Rangers are closer to the trap door. Buttevant sit top after victory over Nemo Rangers while Macroom and Kilmurry beat Kiskeam and Glanmire.

Bantry Blues kept their Division 5 final hopes alive with a 0-17 to 1-11 victory over Ballydesmond. Ilen Rovers promotion aspirations took a dent however as Millstreet got the better of them, 4-12 to 1-12. Mitchelstown’s draw with Ballinora was enough to seal a final spot while Canovee and St Nick’s recorded wins too.
Kilmacabea are edging closer to a Division 6 final after a Damien Gore masterclass saw them past Kildorrery, 3-10 to 1-11. Gore nailed 1-9 while Ian Jennings, Ray Shanahan (1-0 each) and Eamonn Shanahan were on target too. A draw against Dromtarriffe in their final match would see them promoted. Drom beat Glenville while Aghinagh edged Cullen as the finishing line is in sight.
Argideen Rangers slipped closer to relegation after losing 0-11 to 0-7 to Cobh. The Timoleague club face promotion-chasing Aghinagh in their final game. A loss there would mean possible demotion.
