The Mid Cork venue hosted the 50th decider and in a diverse programme compered by county cultural officer Richard Murphy, the exciting and diverse fare offered an abundance of cultural entertainment.
While Avondhu and Duhallow securing four of the major category prizes, St James’ representatives – Rachel O’Sullivan, Aine Fitzgerald, Rachel Hodnett, Ashlie O’Sullivan and Amy O’Sullivan – grabbed a rewarding outing for Carbery that raised the cheers of West Cork supporters. Their double fare, ‘Éist a Stór’ and ‘The Mad Lady and Me’ won the approval of the adjudicators.
The winners go forward to represent Cork in the Munster semi final on a return to the Ovens venue on Saturday, February 23rd.
