SKIBBEREEN RFC will take on Thurles in the Munster Junior Plate final following their respective semi-final wins last weekend.

While Thurles defeated Cork Constitution 35-15 at Temple Hill, Skibbereen won 9-3 away to Nenagh thanks to three penalties from Ger Hurley. See this week’s Southern Star for a full report.

Meanwhile, there were more celebrations in Bandon as they won their third trophy of the season after beating Charleville, 34-17, in the O'Neill Cup final at Rathcooney.

Jack Murphy (2), Christian Mulcahy, Kevin Brophy, Mighty Okafor and Conor Pullin all scored tries for the West Cork team.
