CARBERY RANGERS: The senior footballers host Castlehaven in the McCarthy Insurance Group FL Division 1 on Friday in Ardagh (7.45pm). The juniors travel to Inniscarra on Saturday (3pm) in Division 7. The U14s beat Ahán Gaels 5-12 to 0-6 in their championship Division 2 clash.
ILEN ROVERS: The junior ladies beat Courcey Rovers in Rath, 1-16 to 1-12. They play their last round of county league at home to Dromtarriffe at the end of June. The Skibbereen Community Games Area U12 panel beat Kinsale in the Cairn Community Games county final. Ilen Rovers was represented by Emma O’Driscoll, Emma Keohane and coach Ger Carey. They’ve qualified for the Munster semi-final on June 28th. The U12 girls got their street league started against Dunmanway. Some of the players had already been running in Cork City Sports that day so great stamina and energy required. They will meet Bantry in their next match. The U13 girls lost to Naomh Abán in their county quarter-final. The intermediate men’s team play Millstreet away on Saturday (6.30pm). The U14 girls face Valley Rovers in Innishannon on Thursday. Good luck to Emma Hurley and the Cork seniors who play Armagh. Congratulations to Leah Carey, Maebh Collins and Cork U20s on their three point win against Meath.

KILMEEN/KILBREE: Kilbree secured a hard-earned 2-15 to 2-12 win over Ballinascarthy in the Carbery HL Division 2 at Rossmore. Team: Aidan O’Shea; Shane Clancy (0-1), Liam O’Brien, Darren Deasy; Patrick Shanahan, Brian O’Donovan, John Clancy (captain); Martin O’Donovan, William Young (0-3); Gearóid McCarthy (1-4), Ogie Scannell (0-3), Finian Deasy; Peter O’Sullivan (0-1), Thomas Tyner (1-3), Shane Keohane. Sub: Mark Keohane. The U14 hurlers lost to Shamrocks at Rossmore in the championship. The next round of the hurling championship is away to Grenagh next Friday night. The U12 hurlers gave a great display of hurling against Sam Maguires in Rossmore. The U12 football cup winners from 2025 were presented with their medals in Rossmore. Thanks to Sean O’Brien for presenting the medals and to the mentors and supporters that attended on the night. Well done to Howard O’Donovan, part of the Cork minor panel that defeated Kilkenny at the weekend. They have now qualified for an All-Ireland semi-final against Tipperary. The U14 and U16 camogie teams have qualified for league semi-finals. The U13 camogie team travelled to Skibbereen to play St Patrick’s in the Carbery league and won 7-6 to 2-2. The U12 camogie team lost against Blarney. Best of luck to the Kilmeen National School girls and boys teams in the Sciath na Scoil football finals. The finals will be played in Clonakilty on Thursday.
O’DONOVAN ROSSA: The Skibbereen Community Games U12 girls won the county championship against Kinsale in Ballincollig. They proceed to the Munster semi-final in Limerick on June 28th. A special mention to Rossa girls - Saoirse, Eva, Sophie, Amy, Kitty and Sarah. Thank you to Ger Carey and Eileen McCarthy for all your hard work and dedication to the girls. Hard luck to the junior hurlers who exited the championship after a battling defeat to St Oliver Plunkett’s. A young team handed out a huge number of debuts this season and have lots to build on for the West Cork championship. The U8 boys put in a great performance in two matches against a tough Rosscabery side at the weekend. Despite the challenging weather, the boys persevered and played with determination. The U14 girls, captained by Cara Herlihy, had a great win against St Colum’s last week in the complex, 2-15 to 6-1. The U13 girls had a 1-18 to 3-5 win over St Mary’s in the county quarter-final in Rossa park. Thanks to St Marys for travelling and Conor McCarthy for reffing.
