Of course, the highlight of the weekend will be the annual duck race, closely followed by the Baa-ra sheep racing, both taking place on Sunday.

This year a tag rugby event has been added to the programme of events. This tournament will take place on Saturday, August 1st, and all teams are welcome. Registration forms are available by contacting Sean (087-9568363), Paul (086-3561869) or Joey (087-9865827).

It promises to be great craic with plenty of refreshments available pre and post-match.

There will be live music every night from Thursday right through to Sunday where there will be live music from 3pm until late. Highlights include Pa Curran performing tracks from his new album while Murphys Men will bring their own unique style to the weekend. Many other acts will be performing right throughout the weekend.

Sunday promises to be a jam-packed day of events. Starting from 1pm there will be a host of children’s activities followed by the annual Baa-raa races where you will see sheep reach record heights as they steeplechase their way around the circuit.

A vintage car and tractor run will also take place travelling up to the top of the majestic Healy Pass. This is all before the main event, the 2015 duck race.

There will be plenty food and refreshments on site that offer a little something for everyone and it promises to be a fun-filled weekend with something for all the family.
