Wenda Partridge of Wayne Lloyd Hair in Ballydehob won the Munster Hairdresser of the Year 2015 at the Irish Hairdressing Awards ceremony, which was held in Dublin recently.

With more than 500 stylists competing in the Irish Hairdressing Federation Competition, it continues to be one of the most prestigious hairdressing events ever held in Ireland.

Wenda told The Southern Star she was ‘absolutely delighted’ with the win. Having previously won the Trainee Hairdresser of the Year in 2012, winning the Munster Hairdresser of the Year was, she said: ‘An achievement I will never forget.’

As a member of Team Ireland, Wenda will be competing against hundreds of hairdressers from around the world at the Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC) Asia Cup in Malaysia in May.

Wenda is originally from England but she moved to West Cork five years ago to work for her brother, Wayne Lloyd, who continues to enjoy a hugely successful career at his salons in Ballydehob, Bandon and Cork City.
