IF ‘Junk Kouture’ is the name of the game, then three Transition Year students in Colaiste na Toirbhirte, Bandon are making a rubbish name for themselves.

Leaghanorah Carroll, Orla Coffey and Sarah Crowley have made it through to the national finals of Junk Kouture 2015. Their art teacher, Lisa Moynihan, supervised the students to create an extremely stylish, unique and innovative outfit – from old newspapers.

Their outfit, entitled ‘Blath Paipear’ was unveiled at the 2015 Junk Kouture regional awards in Limerick in the competition which is sponsored by Bank of Ireland and Repak. The competition is for second level students.
