August 1st is the date when Norwegian Air wants to start flying from Cork Airport to the US.

AUGUST 1st is the date when Norwegian Air wants to start flying from Cork Airport to the US.

That was the news that emerged from a meeting this week between Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clue and the head of the airline.

 Ms Clune met with of Norwegian Airlines nchief executive Bjørn Kjos in Brussels to discuss the planned transatlantic flights from Cork. 

‘I invited Mr Kjos to the European Parliament to discuss Norwegians flights from Cork. He has told me that the process of granting a licence will take time and that there is a procedure to be followed. Ultimately, he wants to begin flying from Cork to the US from August 1st,’ she told The Southern Star.
