A FOOD supervisor who was involved in a domestic argument following a drink relapse was ordered to pay €200 to the Court Poor Box.
Skibbereen District Court heard that just after 5pm on October 29th , gardaí found Kevin Dinan (43), of Baltimore Road, Skibbereen, drunk outside the home of his ex-partner in Skibbereen. He pleaded guilty to being drunk in a public place.
‘It was the home I was living in at the time and I just wanted to get my clothes from it,’ said Mr Dinan.

The court heard that he has 16 previous convictions, one for public order while the remaining convictions include assault, theft, burglary and drug offences.
His last conviction dated back to October 2020 on a drug driving charge.
Mr Dinan said he had spent around 12 months in rehabilitation and had been off drinks and drugs for over a year. ‘I should never have had a drink that evening,’ he said.
‘There was clearly some domestic acrimony, which now seems to have been resolved,’ said Judge Joanne Carroll. She asked him to make a €200 contribution to the Court Poor Box and remanded him on continuing bail until the next hearing on January 27th 2026.
