THIS year’s Bantry Walking Festival, which takes place from June 2nd to 4th, will feature a variety of guided walks on the mountains, islands and peninsulas around the region.

From rambles around Whiddy Island                  , strenuous hikes up Hungry Hill, or catching the view from the highest point on the stunning Sheep’s Head Way, there are plenty of spectactular treks for all ages and abilities.

Try a riverside walk, starting from the historic Castledonovan in Drimoleague, or check out the beautiful walk in the Mealagh Valley. For further information see
