Road closed outside Dunmanway

ONE person is critically ill after a truck collided with a car at lunchtime today (Monday) near Inchigeela Cross between Crookstown and Bantry

The road, which is a busy route to Bantry from Cork city, has been closed for forensic examination by the gardai.

A garda spokesperson said the examination could take up to four hours and a diversion will be in place until it has been completed.

The accident occured at about 1.30pm today.
