Fashion photographer Shay Hunston, who has now turned his eager eye to the people of the coastal route, spent several days taking portraits of the people he encountered on a recent trip to Kinsale.

He has now posted the photos on his Facebook page and invited the shops in the town to display them.

Shay is making his away around the coast, taking photographs in selected towns along the way, hoping to compile enough for a book to be published at a later date.

The book – with a working title of The People of the Wild Atlantic Way – would see the proceeds going to a charity he holds dear – the RNLI.

Shay has already garnered huge praise for a project which was commissioned in Dublin on the People of Temple Bar. The project was a compilation of portraits of the people who work and live in the tourist area, and the pictures were later displayed on large posters on the side of buildings along the streets of Temple Bar.
