BANTRY will soon have a new café wine bar where customers can be sure of not getting bored.
Local woman Emer Kelly and her fiancé Chris Heinhold are putting the finishing touches to their new premises, TableTop West, a boardgame café, on High Street.
‘We’ll be open from 11am till 11pm and we will serve soups, sandwiches and salads at lunchtime and then in the evening we’ll have sharing boards with fantastic local produce as well as local beers and wines,’ Emer told The Southern Star.
Emer and Chris opened a TableTop café on Castle St in Cork city over a year ago which was the country’s first boardgame café.
‘TableTop in Bantry is not going to be just another café,’ Chris said.
‘Here it’s all about delicious food, excellent drink and over 400 boardgames that you can choose from, to enjoy an evening or afternoon or indeed morning
of good fun.’ The staff will be available to help decide on what games to play and to help you with rules and so on for the less familiar games.
Emer said she was delighted to be coming home to Bantry and they intend to have the café open by the end of the month.
