The company says it is on the lookout for individuals with a background in science, manufacturing, quality and engineering who want to help shape the future of healthcare in ireland and around the world. 

MSD Brinny is a facility for the development, testing and manufacturing of new biologics and vaccines, exporting to over 90 countries. 

With over 700 staff, the Brinny site has been a part of the local Innishannon community for nearly 35 years and is now one of the region’s largest employers. 

It has almost 70,000 employees operating in more than 140 countries, amd was first established in Ireland over 50 years ago. 

MSD currently employs over 1,700 employees, across four sites in Ballydine, Co Tipperary, Brinny, Carlow and Dublin and, in addition, operate substantial human health and animal health businesses.  

Early in 2018 the decision was made to base a new biotechnology facility – known as MSD Biotech, Dublin – in Ireland with the expected creation of up to 350 new jobs when manufacturing operations commence in 2021.
