AN elderly man has died following a traffic incident on Main Street in Skibbereen this evening.
AN elderly man has died following an incident on Main Street in Skibbereen this evening.
It is believed the man suffered a suspected heart attack and his car collided with a bridge in the centre of town, around 6.30pm.
A number of fire engines, an ambulance and the critical care unit were called.
The road was closed for a while as emergency services attended the scene.
