Man appears in court in relation to Clonakilty burglary

Gardaí in Clonakilty arrested a man yesterday in connection with a burglary at a house there.

A MAN in his late teens who was arrested and charged in connection with a burglary in Clonakilty yesterday has been remanded in custody to appear at Clonakilty District Court on Thursday August 22nd.

Tadhg Tuschewski from Clonakilty appeared before Cork City District Court No 1 this morning and was charged with two offences of trespassing and one of criminal damage from yesterday. He was also charged with other offences including two charges of theft and one charge of assault from previous dates this year.

Gardaì had arrested and charged the defendant in relation to a burglary that occurred at a house in the Ballyvackey area of Clonakilty yesterday. Shortly before noon gardai received a report of a burglary that had just occurred. A description of the suspect was circulated to Gardaì on patrol and he was located a short time later on a bicycle.

'He was arrested and detained at Clonakilty Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.'
