WEST Cork businesses are to receive a boost, thanks to the launch of a brand new networking group in Skibbereen. BNI Ireland has announced its plans to hold its first meeting on Thursday June 2nd at 5.30pm in the Ludgate Hub in Skibbereen.

BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in Ireland, with members generating over €45m worth of business between in 2015. Members of BNI work together to build their businesses by acting as a sales force for each other, passing new business and giving referrals.

The event will be hosted by Dan Cronin, director, BNI Ireland South, and all local businesses are welcome.

Dan will impart tips on how to successfully market your business with the training provided by BNI as well as how to get the most out of networking.

‘We are really looking forward to meeting with local business people,’ he said.

‘We are hoping to meet lots of positive people who are looking to grow their business and create new opportunities for themselves and their fellow members. Being a member of BNI is not only about building your own business, but also boosting the local economy where you work. If where you are based is thriving, then it creates a better environment for all businesses.’

He said the launch of a Skibbereen BNI group marks a real opportunity for local businesses to work together. ‘Networking plays a hugely important role in the success of a business and the success of BNI Ireland is proof of this. I would encourage all business people in the region to come along and discover how they can grow their business. The event will be friendly and informative and we welcome business people from all sectors to come along and discover how they can benefit from joining this new networking group.’

The event will begin with registration and open networking from 5.30pm. Local business people interested in attending can contact Gordon Teasdale on 087 4577401 or email [email protected]
