Laura makes her mark on new Macra calendar

CARRIGALINE Macra member Laura Spillane is in a new Macra na Feirme calendar which was launched recently for 2016.

Laura will be featured in the Macra Positive Mental Health Calendar which was launched at this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska in Co Laois, last week.

 The calendar, which costs €10, features young Macra members from all over the country and was created as a fundraiser for the Walk in My Shoes campaign, which was established by St Patrick’s Mental Health Services.

  It promotes positive mental health, which is an issue that has come very much to the forefront in rural Ireland in recent years, says Laura.
