AN EVENT which should be of great interest to all livestock farmers is scheduled to take place in Skibbereen Mart on Monday, September 24th, beginning at 8pm.
There will be a live cattle demonstration in the ring on the night, to assist with a discussion on producing the right type of animal for the beef market.
Four expert speakers will address all aspects of cattle production: Angus Woods, IFA national livestock chairman; Joe Burke of Bord Bia; Sean Coughlan of ICBF and Karen Dukelow, who is beef and feed specialist with Teagasc.
Among the topics to be covered will be breeding, efficient production, markets and market outlook, CAP and coping with the fodder shortage over the coming months.
All are welcome to what should be a very interesting evening for everyone who is involved in cattle farming.
