IT’S festival time once again in Ahakista on the Sheep’s Head and once again ‘local’ celebrity Graham Norton will make the short walk from his holiday home for his annual festival quiz. Graham will be joined this year by special guest star, Jennifer Barry, also known as Siobhan in the popular television show, The Young Offenders. Raffle prizes on the quiz night include two tickets to attend the recording of the very popular Graham Norton show, which will be presented by the main man himself. Other prizes include a dinner with local parish priest Fr Galvin – a ‘Heavenly four course gourmet feast’ with wine prepared and served by Fr Galvin himself. There is a host of other activities taking place throughout the August Bank holiday to keep everyone entertained from road bowling, a tug of war and treasure hunt to the Tom Whiitty Memorial guided walk and live music at Arundel’s By The Pier and The Tin Pub on Saturday. Sunday will see a fantastic family fun day at The Tin Pub with water activities on what is locally known as the Sandy Beach. A complete list of all activities can be found on the Ahakista Regatta & Festivals Facebook page.
