A fundraising campaign has been launched to raise money for the medical expenses of Ciara Twomey from Bantry.
Ciara, a general nursing student at the Tralee Institute of Technology, was involved in a quad bike accident while travelling in remote Thailand with friends. She is currently in hospital recovering from eye surgery and will require further reconstructive surgery.
A fundraising page has been set up to raise money for her treatment. You can donate to the campaign here. The full story will be in this week's Southern Star.
