Gardaí are investigating an incident outside Ballinscarthy earlier this morning where a female cyclist sustained serious injuries on the N71.
A FEMALE cyclist has been to taken to CUH with serious injuries following a collision earlier this morning, 1km outside Ballinscarthy on the N71 Bandon to Clonakilty road. The road was subsequently closed for a period while emergency services and gardaí attended the scene, but it has now been cleared.
Gardaí are currently investigating the incident and are speaking to a motorist who is helping them with their enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the incident earlier this morning is asked to contact Clonakilty Gardaí on 023- 8821570
