Drugs seized in Kinsale included crack cocaine

GARDAÍ have seized approximately €16,000 of drugs including €150 worth of crack cocaine and €3,300 in cash during a search in Kinsale on Wednesday.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the West Cork Garda Division, gardaí from the divisional drugs unit executed a search warrant at a house in Kinsale at approximately 5.30pm.

During the course of the search, gardaí seized suspected cannabis herb worth €15,000, other various controlled drugs worth €1,000 including €150 worth of crack cocaine, €3,300 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

No arrests have been made but Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.

This is the second significant drugs seizure this week in West Cork gardaí from the divisional drugs unit in West Cork discovered a growhouse in Durrus  on Tuesday and seized €6,800 worth of cannabis herb and €5,600 worth of cannabis plants.

In a second unrelated search, gardaí seized €4,900 of suspected cannabis, as well as €17,200 in cash at a house in Ballylickey.
