Child airlifted to Cork after farm accident

A COASTGUARD helicopter is en route to Cork Airport after airlifting an injured child in West Cork.

A COASTGUARD helicopter is en route to Cork Airport after airlifting an injured child in West Cork.

The child, (2), it is believed, was airlifted from a farm in the Goleen area, at Toormore near Schull, after being involved in an accident.

The helicopter is currently en route to Cork, where the injured party will be transferred to CUH by ambulance.
