THE EU Commission has launched an appeal for feedback from coastal communities about the main challenges facing them.
They also want feedback on what EU policies work well, and which ones fall short, as well as public opinion on how new policies should complement actions at national and local level.
Users can also read the feedback of other EU citizens, businesses and NGOs to see what issues are affecting countries around the EU.

The experiences of West Cork communities will play a vital role in shaping this new EU strategy.
Based on 2023-2025 reports from Bord Iascaigh Mhara, nearly one-in-six jobs in the Roaringwater Bay area are linked to the aquaculture sector.
And some 81% of jobs in Castletownbere are related to the fishing industry.
Concerns over the future of the industry remain, as more boats are decommissioned and fishing quotas in Irish waters reduce.
The loss of the Hague preferences was seen as another blow to the already damaged fishing industry.
The feedback collected will contribute to the EU strategy which aims to help coastal regions and islands reach their full potential while preserving their unique identity.
The initiative is expected to be adopted by summer 2026 and submissions are being accepted up to March 23rd.
