The awards are designed to highlight the diversity and quality of cheese available. throughout the UK and Ireland.

These latest wins for Carbery add to an already impressive number of accolades and awards for its cheeses achieved at various international events in recent years.

Speaking of the recent wins, Dermot Curtin, Carbery Group cheese production manager, said: ‘It is fantastic to again receive recognition for the quality of Carbery cheeses at an international level. These awards demonstrate that products made at Ballineen are of the highest standard.

‘As one of Ireland's leading producers of cheese for the retail, ingredient and foodservice sectors, our reputation for quality is all-important. The awards are a great boost for Carbery's cheese facility in Ballineen which is the largest single cheese-producing facility in Ireland. The plant produces almost 25% of Ireland's annual cheese output, including products such as the Dubliner brand, cheddar, reduced fat cheeses and red Leicester cheese.
