BANTRY locals have organised a collection of clothes, blankets and food for refugees in Greece.

The collection is based at John McCarthy’s butcher shop on Main St.

The shop will be open all week until Sunday, and will be open late Tuesday and Thursday.

Items being accepted are: clothes, shoes, tents, sleeping bags & blankets (no duvets or pillows), toiletries, tinned food, candles, black refuse bags, socks and gloves, hats and tarpaulins.
