The collection is based at John McCarthy’s butcher shop on Main St.

The organisers are collecting for a convoy for the Kerry-based Help for Humans organisation, which will be going to Greece to deliver to the refugees who have landed there.

The shop will be open all week until Sunday, and will be open late Tuesday and Thursday.

Items being accepted are: clothes, shoes, tents, sleeping bags & blankets (no duvets or pillows), toiletries, tinned food, candles, black refuse bags, socks and gloves, hats and tarpaulins.
