SKIBBEREEN-based marine supplies firm CH Marine was honoured at the annual Irish Water Safety awards ceremony in Dublin recently.
CH Marine won an award for Community & Social Responsibility at the ceremony.
The audience heard how CH Marine holds a Lifejacket Awareness Week each summer with additional initiatives that make people aware of the importance of children’s lifejackets and of angling safety guidelines.
They service hundreds of lifejackets every month and in doing so identified the need to make recreational users more aware of the importance of water safety. John Kelleher accepted the award on behalf of CH Marine.
