MORE than 500 parents, healthcare providers and educators from across Ireland will come together this September for the Cork Autism Conference.

MORE than 500 parents, healthcare providers and educators from across Ireland will come together on Sunday, September 22nd, this year, at the annual Cork Autism Conference for families and professionals.

'Autism: No Limits, Just Possibilities' takes place at the Clayton Silversprings Hotel in Cork city’s Tivoli.

Bestselling author, senior lecturer, trainer & consultant in autism, Dr Peter Vermeulen will be exploring the topic ‘From neurodiversity to neuroharmony, a plea for a smaller but stronger autism’.

Autism advocate, author, mother, founder of the UK autism charity Anna Kennedy Online, Anna Kennedy OBE, will be presenting ‘Autism and the performing arts’.

Autism spokesperson, speaker, consultant and vlogger, Connor Ward will be sharing how he turned his autism into a career and bestselling author, mother and journalist, Jessie Hewitson will be exploring how to raise a happy autistic individual.

And international speaker, autism consultant and trainer Geoff Evans will be considering a holistic approach to supporting autistic individuals with behaviours that challenge.

‘The theme of this year’s conference reflects our aim in empowering families and people working or living with autism, to have beliefs, approaches and interventions which best support autistic people to have healthy and happy lives,’ explained Cork Autism Conference organiser Micheál O’Mathúna.
