Sgt Tom Mulcahy said officers on patrol found Ms O’Brien on Clarke Street at 12.17am, highly intoxicated, unable to stand and slurring her speech.
‘I went out for a few drinks after work with some friends. I had been sick with a chest infection and had finished taking antibiotics the day before,’
Ms O’Brien told the court.
The court heard that she had no previous convictions. Judge Joanne Carroll ordered the defendant to pay €100 to the Court Poor Box for each offence, with a default €200 fine on each charge if she failed to make the payment.
The defendant was remanded on bail, with €100 her own bond until February 17th 2026, to ensure the payment was made.
