CORK Airport management and staff will take to the runway – the fashion one, that is – for the terminal’s inaugural fashion show in aid of The Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club.

Organised by members of the airport’s charity committee, and sponsored by The Loop, the fashion extravaganza takes places on Thursday February 11th, at 8pm, in the airport’s concourse.

The event will be hosted by well-known stylist Pat Walker.

Speaking about the fundraiser Kevin Cullinane, head of communications at Cork Airport, said: ‘We’re all really looking forward to fashion show, which is a fantastic and fun event to support The Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club.

‘Those involved in the charity, who are all volunteers, do great work for deserving kids who are sick by bringing some fun and laughter.’

He said he hoped that the evening would raise crucial funds to help with the ongoing work that the charity does for their young patients and would help to go towards the cost of some of the trips and events that they organise.

In addition to the fashion show, there will be an area where attendees can receive a makeup makeover, courtesy of The Loop. There will be clothes on the ramp from Saville Menswear, Brocade & Lime, Say I Do, BU Fascinators, Devilish Designs by Gina, Verso, Jon Clare Fashions, Blush Boutique and Penneys.

Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club recently took a group of young people to Euro Disney and all had a really memorable time.

Tickets for the event can be purchased for €15 at the Information Desk at Cork Airport, with all proceeds going to The Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club.

Founded in 1992 by a small group of volunteers, The Cork City Hospital’s Club brings sick and deserving kids away on various trips and also host a number of fun events during the year. Some of these include its annual trip to Euro Disney, Egg Hunt at UCC and Christmas event at Fota. For more see corkchildrensclub on Facebook.
