THE Fashion and Farming Festival, Kinsale, has postponed its second annual event which was due to run in May.
The organisers apologised for any inconvenience and promised that the event will return ‘with gusto’ in 2027.
Fashion and Farming brings together farmers, designers, textile makers, sowers and growers to workshop fresh ideas that will hopefully take root in the industries of fashion and farming.

The event was created to help change the world in what we wear, consume and grow.
In a statement issued earlier this week organisers said: ‘Due to a recent illness with one the key organisers of the event, we have made the difficult decision to postpone it until next year 2027.
‘But we promise to return with gusto and a super line-up of new guests for the second iteration of the event, which will host two days of talks, music and food.
‘The Kinsale event organisers apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to anyone affected by this change and appreciate your understanding as they prioritise health during this time.’
Next year’s event is scheduled to run on May 8th and 9th, 2027.
Fashion & Farming is the brainchild of Mareta Doyle, who founded the award-winning international Kinsale Arts Festival, together with Ciara Hunt, whose background is in luxury, fashion and lifestyle magazine editorial.
The event unites two distinct worlds and explores the connection between what we wear and where it comes from.
Last year’s inaugural Fashion and Farming event guests included, The Eden Project’s Sir Tim Smit; Darina Allen of Ballymaloe Organic Farm School in Cork; Sean O’Sullivan, founder and managing partner of SOSV, a U.S. venture capital firm focused on deep tech startups in health and climate; and former Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney.
Other contributors included U2 bassist and keen gardener Adam Clayton, French fashion entrepreneur and circular fashion economy expert Coco Baraer Panazza, and luxury, publishing and fashion expert Mary Fellowes.
