A pharmaceutical worker who was involved in an accident was banned from driving and received a €150 fine.
William Kelly, of Park Hill, Skehard Road, Cork, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and a public order offence at Bandon District Court.
On April 5th at around 5.45pm, Gardaí attended the scene of an accident near Bandon and found a strong intoxicated smell coming from the driver of a VW Polo, Mr Kelly, who became aggressive and verbally abusive.

He was taken to Bandon Garda Station where an alcohol test revealed 82 mg of alcohol in his blood, the legal limit being 50mg per 100ml.
Mr Kelly had ten previous convictions, five for public order offences, three for threatening and abusive behaviour, one for assault and one for theft.
The court heard that the Probation Service got Mr Kelly involved in the Pro Social Drivers Programme, aimed at improving the driving behaviour of higher-risk drivers.
Mr Murphy said his client worked 12-hour shifts four days a week at Merck.
Judge Joanne Carroll banned Mr Kelly from driving for three years, also imposing a €150 fine with three months to pay.
Judge Carroll struck out the dangerous driving charge.
