Having scored both goals in the victory against Togher, Tom McQueen was Drinagh’s hero again – this time he hit a hat-trick to fire his team into the cup final.

Goals from McQueen (2) and Barry O’Driscoll (H) saw Drinagh surge into a 3-0 lead by the break, before McQueen completed his hat-trick early in the second half. Cal O’Mahony pulled a late goal back for Clon, who must now refocus for a Parkway Hotel/Maybury Coaches Cup semi-final against Bunratty this weekend.

The big games keep on coming for Drinagh, who will meet Togher Celtic in both the Premier Division Cup final and the Beamish Cup semi-final.
